And if you ever want to cook for yourself, you'll find a "So kocht Südtirol" (This is how South Tyrol Cooks) cookbook by the three top chefs Gerhard Wieser, Heinrich Gasteiger, and Helmut Bachmann in your apartment. You can get the fresh ingredients for it at the farmers' market around the corner (every Saturday), at the organic bakery "Ultner Brot," at the organic and delicatessen store Zöggeler, and at the village butcher Holzner.
Only a 5-minute walk away, the traditional inn "Zur Traube" delights with traditional South Tyrolean cuisine. Junior chef Lukas has given a modern touch to many traditional recipes - the result: an incredible explosion of flavors that mesmerizes even the most pampered palate. Guaranteed!

The Wine Cellar
End the day with a glass of wine. Sitting together and chatting about the latest vacation experiences: where better than in the wine cellar of Ardesia! Cozy-modern with a touch of tradition and some personal favorites of the hosts, giving the whole room a personal touch and a warm aura, the wine cellar is perfectly suited for this!
There are three bakeries in close proximity to Ardesia. One of them, namely the organic bakery "Ultner Brot," is practically right outside the door! But also at Schmiedl-Bäck on Tribusplatz and at Bäckerei Winkler on Feldgatterweg, you'll be spoiled with fresh bread, rolls, and pastry specialties.
Every Saturday, just a few steps from Ardesia, a farmers' market takes place. Here, you can buy fresh fruits, cheese and sausage specialties, honey, bacon, farmhouse bread, and many other products from local agriculture.
Also when it comes to meat, you have a choice of 3 butchers! The village butcher Holzner, the butcher Reiterer, and the butcher Lanz. Our recommendation? The village butcher Holzner, which plays a leading role in regionality and sustainability. Or maybe the butcher Reiterer? Both are excellent! By the way, at Reiterer's, you can get fresh lasagna, grilled chicken, goulash, and other freshly cooked specialties to take away at lunchtime.
Less than a 5-minute walk away is the Austrian supermarket MPreis. A bit further away but open on Sundays, you'll find Eurospar.
